Purchasers at The Ronto Group’s new Infinity luxury high-rise within The Colony in Pelican Landing in Bonita Springs continue to be attracted by how the tower is redefining what high-rise living in Southwest Florida can be like. A Minnesota native, Jill Kushner moved to Southwest Florida in 1984. She currently resides in a single-family home within the Colony and has purchased a residence at Infinity.
“The Colony is just different and not overwhelming size-wise,” said Jill. “The community is kind of a surprise to a lot of people. It is not dense, and the people who live here like that. Most of the residents are senior executives getting ready to retire and are from the Midwest. They chose the Colony based on its lifestyle and liked the idea of having a lock-and-leave residence. It’s a highly amenitized community.
Frank Kevane is from Philadelphia and has owned a residence in Southwest Florida for nearly 20 years.
“We’re living in a high-rise at the Colony now and we’ve lived at Pelican Landing for a lot of years, first in a condo, and then in a house,” said Frank. “Most of those years I was working, and I only got down here for long weekends. I really like living in a high rise. At this stage in our life, this is just easier. It’s lighter, it’s fun. I really like high rise living. The Colony itself is its own bigger community. It is just really well maintained, and I would say that it is attractive. It feels good to live here.
“Infinity is very well thought out and different from the seven high-rises already at the Colony,” said Jill. “It will have 10-foot 4-inch ceilings with floor to ceiling glass. Each unit will have a terrace with a gas grill. The buyers I know love having the grill right at home. Most buyers want three bedrooms, a den, and three-and-a-half baths. Infinity offers that and checks all the boxes, even boxes people didn’t think about, like the two-car garage that’s included with every residence. The floor plans are smarter and offer a dimensional view that includes the golf course, the bay, and the Gulf. Because it’s a through-view design, you’ll also see eastbound. “I think Ronto has a great reputation,” added Frank. “We live in a very nice place now. I just think Infinity is going to be nicer. It just feels like this property is really going to be nicely high end. That’s appealing in this stage of our life. We’re going in on the ground floor, which can sometimes be advantageous. We look at this as the last place that we will live in Florida. It seems like a winning combination of space, being something new, and we know a few people that have put money down. I think it is a winner and it is positive. That’s what it feels like to me.”
With spectacular vistas of tropical fauna, wetlands, and the Gulf of Mexico, Infinity’s sky-high views are endless. An array of resort-style amenities will feature a beautifully landscaped exterior amenity deck with multiple swimming pools, including a 3,400 square foot family pool, and a 2,500 square foot adult pool. “The amenity piece at Infinity is so different that it’s almost like an autonomous resort,” said Jill. “You don’t have to go anywhere. There will be private dining, you can play golf, you can swim, you can play pickleball on-property. There will be a grill room, different swimming pools, a putting golf course, game room, guest suites. People can enjoy life without going anywhere. It’s a very private offering.”
“When we heard about the amenities, we were impressed,” agreed Frank. “Like having someone on the desk twenty-four hours a day really appealed to us, because that’s kind of a safety valve if you need something in an emergency. There’s going to be food service, which is great. The pickle ball courts could be fun. There will be an adult pool, a regular pool, and then the saunas. That front desk coverage again and having a grill on your outdoor deck or lanai, those things together are pretty big. It is nice to have that. I kind of like the open-air concept without all the big screens. It all feels like a winner to me.”
Infinity residents will also have access to the exclusive Pelican Landing Beach Park on Big Hickory Island, the Pelican Landing Community Center and Fitness Center, The Pelican Landing Tennis Center, pickleball courts, a kayak facility, a sailing facility, and bocce ball courts. Pre-construction pricing for the tower’s available residences ranges from $2,495,000 to $4,475,000. The Colony in Pelican Landing is situated just west of Highway 41 on the waters of Estero Bay.
